Ha! The ER immediately came into my mind. Every department of my workplace should have this posted on their walls! :D
Tadaima~
Just got home from another busy shift at the ER. :3
Kakatapos lang rin namin kumain ng hapunan. Haha. Oo, medyo maraming tao kaya’t hindi na naisingit ang pagkain. Hindi nga naubos tubig ko. Kadalasan, kulang pa ang isang litrong tubig pero kanina, hindi nga nangalahati. Tsk tsk tsk. Nyahaha.
Surprisingly happy. I enjoyed my shift today albeit the toxicity(?). Oh, and I saw certain people at the hospital today. :D Small world.
hoowamawaya asked: ui, hi lee.. salamat sa pag-follow :)

hala! I still owe you a PokeBall! Dx Nawala ang akuang power though. Dili na nako siya ma-recreate. TAT
I just realized…
Maybe one of the reasons why I keep on making excuses not to submit my cv to potential employers is not just because I lack experience in my chosen field (which I honestly know is true) but because going away to places where I potentially wouldn’t know anyone is quite scaring the shizz out of me.
In Another Life Acapella
Kommen Sie Mit?
He looked at her from a fair distance as she bobbed her head low, trying to read the university’s monthly publishing as she sat on a stone bench under the oak tree. Reading was mostly how she learned English, though the past week did little to improve her understanding. She still enjoyed listening to people talk to her in English, whether she understood them or not.
The first time he heard her talk was when she introduced herself in front of his Biology 401 class in full German. He wasn’t captivated by her face, her hair, or even her body, which was damn good, but at the sound of her voice. Normally, he would be staring out the window, looking at the tree across the university’s parking lot, or watching the odd bird or two flying about every now and again. The moment she started speaking, however, he snapped his head at attention towards the front for the first time since entering the class. Despite not understanding what she said, he immediately fell in love. Since then, he has made it his prime directive to impress her. He started looking up German phrases on the internet, hoping to say a word or two. Unfortunately, he always mixed it up whilst talking to her, despite practicing for hours. Regardless of his clumsy accent and appalling grammar, which she always made a point to correct, he felt at ease talking to her. She was always smiling and listened attentively. And her laugh was not a mocking one, but a musical tone that made him feel that she was laughing with him, not at him.
He hoped that whatever he was about to say today was something different, however. He saw some phrases on the internet to help him with what he wanted to say, but decided he didn’t want her to laugh, at or with him. Not this time.
He strode awkwardly towards her, his hands and feet were ice, yet still he pressed on.
“Hey, uhh. Guten Tag.” He said when he was standing a few feet from her. He allowed himself with that little German phrase. At least he was confident with that one. The red-headed girl looked up at him and smiled the most beautiful smile as she took off an earphone from her left ear.
“Guten Tag. Kann ich dir helfen?” She offered in answer.
He flinched a bit. He was always intimidated by her masterful command of the German language, despite it being a simple offer of assistance.
“Well, I just wanted to tell you something.” He said. “I was looking to translate what I’m about to say up on Google, but I decided I might not be able to tell you what I feel proper-like in German.”
He swallowed a bit, as he looked at her. She was looking back with her little smile. He always liked that about her. She never made it a point to make him feel stupid. She always listened, whether she understood him or not.
“The thing is…” He continued. “I like you. Like, a lot. And I was hoping we could hang out somewhere; maybe see a movie or something, before you go back to Germany. Maybe when you do get back home you’d remember me and we could… keep on talking. Ma-maybe on Skype or whichever floats your boat.”
After pouring his heart out, an awkward silence permeated the air between them as she continued to look up at him with her smile. This time it was a courteous smile, a smile saying, you’re making a fool of yourself, but I’m too polite to say so, or simply, I don’t understand. He was hoping for the latter.
“Yeah, well.” He said after a while. “I’ll be going now, I’m sorry for bothering your read.” He simply cannot endure the awkwardness. He had to go somewhere else. But as he turned to leave, her musical voice tugged him back, like a bull being pulled by a cowboy’s lasso.
“Uhm, entschuldigung?” She said. He couldn’t resist turning around, if only to listen to her talk. “Es tut mir leid, Ich verstehe nicht. Aber, später ich gehe in eine café. Kommen Sie mit?”
He could only smile back.
“Ja, gern.”
